$40+ per hour DOE + Full Benefits
7 Days on/ 7 Days off, Live-in 

Occasional Overtime | Travel 

 

 

We are seeking a warm, collaborative, and experienced full-time ROTA Co-Nanny to join a dedicated childcare team for a wonderful repeat client in Austin. This role involves working closely with the family’s primary nannies to support the daily care and routines of multiple children, including a baby and toddler. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fully staffed homes with stay-at-home parents, be equally confident in both supportive and independent care roles, and bring a proactive, detail-oriented, and calm approach to each day. A team-first mindset, clear communication, and flexibility—especially around travel and schedule changes—are essential. A history of long-term roles and reliability is highly valued.

  • Schedule: 7 days on/ 7 days off, Live-in
  • Travel: will be requested roughly 6-8 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the main nannies to manage daily routines and provide hands-on support throughout the day

  • Confidently care for all children independently when needed, including during short periods when the main caregivers are unavailable

  • Assist with nursery and child-related housekeeping: laundry, bottle cleaning, toy organization, and restocking supplies (including baby milk)

  • Support the mother with school pickups, after-school activities, or stay home with the infant as needed

  • Provide gentle overnight care for a seven-month-old, including feeding and soothing

  • Participate in bath time, meal prep, and bedtime routines

  • Monitor and support children’s dietary needs by maintaining a detailed daily food log utilizing a nutrition tracker

  • Assist and support children with homework
  • Maintain flexibility for occasional travel and schedule adjustments

  • Travel with the family 6-8 weeks of the year

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Has experience in private homes

  • Is professional, warm, and understands appropriate boundaries in the workplace

  • Brings a collaborative, team-first attitude when joining the household's well-established team
  • Is reliable, discreet, and proactive, with a positive and flexible mindset
  • Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
  • Is comfortable navigating a large home and working on their feet for extended periods 
  • Has strong references and a desire to contribute to a long-term, respectful work environment
  • Is legally authorized to work in the U.S. and can pass a background check 
  • Is passport ready and eager to travel
  • Must be local to the Austin, TX area

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $40+ per hour, based on experience
