If you love cooking bright, clean, seasonal food and want to work with a family that truly appreciates a chef’s talent, this is a great role. This Atherton family of four, soon to be five, is looking for a Chef who can bring a Mediterranean and California-inspired style to their weekly meals. Think fresh herbs, crisp produce, slow-simmered broths, wild-caught fish, lean proteins, and simple meals that let the ingredients shine. Their favorite spots include Evvia, Kokkari, Angler, Cotogna, which gives you a sense of their palate.
They enjoy leftovers, appreciate a Chef who takes initiative, and will need help introducing solids for their newest addition, along with simple, flavorful meals for their young children. Kid-friendly is important.
Who You Are
You know how to shop well, cook clean, and keep things organized. You are comfortable cooking for young kids and can pivot between cooking for the adults and straightforward staples for the little ones. You communicate clearly, stay organized, source great ingredients, keep things fresh, and genuinely enjoy feeding people well.
