Housekeeper

Our client in Atherton is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper to support the daily operations of a large, luxury home. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining an immaculate environment, understands high-end household standards, and can prioritize efficiently without constant direction.
Ideal start: mid-January to early February.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Housekeeping & Deep Cleaning
- Maintain all interior areas of a large luxury residence to consistently high standards
- Perform routine and deep cleaning, including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, surfaces, and specialty materials
- Care for fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, specialty finishes, and high-end home features
Laundry & Wardrobe Care
- Handle all laundry, including stain treatment and garment care
- Read care labels accurately, hand-wash or hang-dry items when needed
- Organize closets and maintain wardrobe systems
- Manage household linens and refresh bedding
Household Organization
- Keep all rooms tidy, organized, and guest-ready
- Maintain household inventory and restock supplies
- Follow established systems while also suggesting improvements
- Support general household flow and maintain a calm, polished environment
Additional Support
- Assist with light meal prep (if ever needed—optional)
- Accept deliveries, manage trash and recycling, and maintain cleaning storage areas
- Alert the family or property manager to maintenance issues
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Housekeeper for a family
- Local to the Bay Area
- Professional, calm under pressure, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Comfortable signing an NDA
- Must pass an in-depth background check
- Non-smoker / non-vaper
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 am-5:00 pm
- Salary: $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience
