IT Team Leader | Seattle Area
A private family based in the Seattle Area with properties across the West Coast is seeking an experienced IT Team Leader to deliver high-level residential and company IT support. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on expertise with smart home systems, and the ability to manage enterprise-level IT services across multiple properties. The ideal candidate will work closely with a residential team, provide direct technical support, manage vendor relationships, and uphold exceptional service standards in both residential and corporate environments. This person will be responsible for managing all systems and security for the family's residences, including security systems, network infrastructure, AV/IT, cameras, Crestron, and home automation across all properties. We're looking for someone with intellectual curiosity, a hospitality mindset, strong communication skills, and the leadership ability to set the tone through example. A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence is essential.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all residential systems and security across multiple West Coast properties:
    • Security systems and monitoring
    • Network infrastructure and connectivity
    • AV/IT systems
    • Camera systems
    • Crestron control systems
    • Home automation platforms
  • Lead and mentor an IT support team delivering executive and family support
  • Set up and maintain technology systems across properties (Mercer Island, Seattle, Arizona, Colorado)
  • Coordinate on-site support at office and residential locations
  • Develop documentation, service protocols, and strategic IT planning
  • Oversee vendor relationships and service request workflows
  • Provide customer-friendly technical explanations to family members
  • Travel between West Coast properties as needed
  • Provide on-call support for troubleshooting and urgent issues
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in residential or high-end hospitality IT support
  • Must reside in Washington or Arizona
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or relevant certifications (ITIL, Microsoft, hospitality, industry-specific)
  • Deep proficiency with smart home systems (Crestron experience a plus) and IT service platforms
  • Experience with high-end residential technology and hospitality-oriented service delivery
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Comfortable with flexible hours and 24/7 support mindset
  • Willingness to undergo thorough background check
  • Recent employment references required
  • Monthly travel required to West Coast residences
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $160,000++ per year | DOE
