We are seeking two experienced infant nannies to support a Bay Area family on a three-month contract (with the possibility of extending long-term for the right fit). These are two separate positions: one Day Nanny and one Night Nanny. In both roles, you will be responsible for creating a safe, caring, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environment for the baby while partnering closely with the parents and working smoothly within a professional household.
Candidates must have no travel limitations and be comfortable traveling to various properties as needed.
Start Date: Early May 2026
Contract Length: Three months (extension possible)
Interviews Begin: Late January 2026
Open Positions & Schedules:
Position A: Day Nanny (Live-in or Live-out) — 8:00 am–8:00 pm, 5 consecutive days per week
Position B: Night Nanny (Live-in or Live-out) — 8:00 pm–8:00 am, 5 consecutive days per week
Travel: Regular travel (domestic and international possible)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision to ensure the baby’s safety and security at all times.
- Establish and maintain consistent feeding, napping, and sleep schedules.
- Assist with feedings, including nighttime feedings (as applicable to shift).
- Support sleep coaching/sleep training; confidently follow and/or help implement an agreed-upon plan.
- Engage with the baby through age-appropriate play, soothing techniques, and developmental activities.
- Handle diaper changes, dressing, and bathing.
- Maintain a clean, organized nursery and ensure baby supplies remain fully stocked.
- Clean and sterilize bottles, feeding supplies, and baby items as needed.
- Regularly change and launder the baby’s bedding and nursery linens.
- Maintain meticulous log sheets tracking sleep times, feedings/ounces, and diaper changes, with clear notes for parents.
- Provide thoughtful guidance to parents on best practices in infant care when appropriate.
- Provide general support to the mother and family as it relates to the baby’s daily care.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in child development (or related field) preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) training is strongly desired.
Skills & Work Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a nanny, doula, infant care specialist, or in a closely related role.
- Sleep training experience is required.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time-management skills with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, sound judgment, and a calm, steady presence.
- Strong knowledge of developmental stages and a proactive approach to supporting growth and learning.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working in a staffed home.
- Comfortable working quietly and professionally, and able to match the family’s household style.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to anticipate needs and problem-solve independently.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
- CPR certification required; up-to-date vaccinations and immunizations are required.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Regularly required to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with parents and household team.
- Frequent use of hands/fingers to handle objects and infant care items.
- Regular movement around the residence; occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, or climbing stairs.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 30 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits
- $40–$45 per hour + overtime (non-exempt; compensation varies based on schedule and OT).
- Paid sick days.
- Benefits may be available if the contract extends beyond 90 days.
