A young, dynamic couple expecting their first child is relocating to Atherton, California and is seeking a highly flexible, positive, and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to join their household. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, service-minded, and takes pride in maintaining a polished, well-run home.
This is an active, engaging household that enjoys hosting when in residence, so comfort with guests and a warm, professional demeanor are important. You should enjoy being part of a busy environment and interacting with others in a friendly, upbeat way. This role reports directly to the Principals and the Chief of Staff.
Please note: the couple travels frequently, which allows for more predictable, quieter workdays at times. However, when they are in residence, flexibility is essential to support their schedule and entertaining needs.

- Schedule: 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility to stay late when they are hosting – this is a MUST!!

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work well with team members to facilitate the cleanliness and order of the couple’s home
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employer, family members, staff, and guests
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to the highest standard of service
- Execute seasonal, deep cleaning projects, and scheduled housekeeping tasks
- Care for fine furnishings, art, accessories, china, crystal, and silver as requested/directed with appropriate cleaning products
- Maintain inventories and replenish supplies
- Organize closets, cupboards and storage areas as needed or requested
- Wash laundry, hand wash special items, iron garments and bedding, execute minor clothing repairs
- Coordinate and monitor the dry-cleaning of garments
- Assist with household guests and ensure the home is run like a five-star resort
- Help set up and break down events and dinner parties
- Help serve at dinner parties
- Run errands as requested and pick up the mail
- Greet vendors and guests
- Check in on the home when the principals are traveling
- Help with special projects as needed
- Light pet care – feeding the couple’s dog and letting him outside
- Pet care when principals travel – be willing to stay with the dog or have him in your own home
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be local to the Bay Area
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a large private home or in luxury hotels
- Excellent references from past employers
- Fluent in English and an effective communicator
- Must be able to work flexible shifts that may include weekends and evenings on occasion
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
- Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel, squat, crouch, bend and crawl. Ability to lift, push and pull required load (approximately 30 lbs.)
- Ability to work well with existing team and to work independently as needed
Compensation and Benefits:
- $55+ per hour | DOE
