Job Summary
A returning client who has recently moved to the Vail, CO area, is seeking a highly capable and experienced full-time Housekeeper to ensure the overall cleanliness of their home. Ideal candidates will have a keen understanding of rotational cleaning procedures and caring for delicate surfaces in the 5,500 square foot main residence.
Applicants must have previous high-level housekeeping experience in a busy household, be polished and professional, and be willing to work as part of an existing team that values positivity and collegiality. The ideal candidate will be hardworking and often self-directed, and able to help maintain the overall cleanliness of the family’s large residence alongside another Housekeeper. Other responsibilities will include pet care, vet visits, and occasional help after hours to let the dog out. Hours would be adjusted accordingly on those days.
The ideal candidates have a kind and calm demeanor, a high attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. The ability to manage tasks with ease and be flexible to accommodate the family’s schedule is critical to success in this role. The family travels quite a bit and would love the hired Housekeeper to join them for winter travel. That said, this is not a hard requirement, and the family will be flexible for the right candidate.
- Full-Time: 7:00 am-4:00 pm
- Monday through Friday

Duties
- Daily household cleaning and larger seasonal deep cleaning projects.
- Working as a team with an additional housekeeper, with some occasional overlapping hours to work together.
- Help make beds daily and change towels and linens as desired.
- Share household laundry duties, including washing and pressing of clothing and linens, with the additional housekeeper on the team.
- Cleaning and care of fine furnishings and delicate surfaces.
- Assist with dry-cleaning and floral services.
- Complete occasional errands (tailoring, groceries, shoe repair, pharmacy, etc.).
- Help identify and report issues requiring maintenance.
- Maintain tidy and organized closets, pantries, and storage areas throughout the residence, ensuring correct inventory levels.
- Assist additional staff members as needed.
- Assist with frequent entertaining, including event preparation, serving, and clean-up.
- Table setting and food/beverage service would be a plus.
- Pet care. (feeding, vet appts.)
Skills and Abilities
- Polished, poised, kind, and professional in manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail.
- Comfortable working in a home with dogs.
- Understand and value discretion and respect the privacy needs of the principals and the family.
- Able to work both independently as well as part of a team that values always treating each other with respect and kindness.
- Willingness to be flexible with work schedule.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of recent, high-level housekeeping experience in a private home.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Excellent references from past employers.
- Successfully complete an in-depth background investigation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Must be COVID vaccinated + boosted.
- Must love dogs!
Compensation and Benefits
