Full-Time Housekeeper

ABOUT THE ROLE
A warm, professional Arlington, VA family of four — including two young children and a dog — is seeking a skilled, full-time Housekeeper to join their household. Both parents work from home, and the family places a high value on creating a clean, organized, and calm environment.

SCHEDULE & DETAILS
- Full-time, live-out position
- Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM (30 hours/week guaranteed)
- Start date: May 2026
- No travel required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeping & Home Care
- Full-charge housekeeping of entire home: daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and ongoing upkeep of kitchen, common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and exterior living areas
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the home
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
Laundry & Wardrobe
- Full family laundry: washing, folding, ironing, and steaming as needed
- Closet organization and seasonal clothing rotation
Meal Preparation & Kitchen
- Simple meal prep for the family
- Keep kitchen clean and organized throughout the day
- Put away groceries and deliveries; maintain tidy pantry and refrigerator
Errands & Organization
- Occasional errands: grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, post office runs, and similar tasks
- Home organization projects: closets, children's clothing, seasonal items
QUALIFICATIONS
- Recent, long-term tenure in professional housekeeping roles within private homes (experience with families and young children strongly preferred)
- Demonstrably high standards for cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
- Unobtrusive, discreet, and professional at all times — comfortable working quietly in an active, work-from-home household
- Proactive self-starter: able to prioritize, anticipate household needs, and manage time with minimal direction
- Accepts direction gracefully and adapts readily to household routines and preferences
- Organized and efficient — able to accomplish a great deal within scheduled hours
- Warm and comfortable around young children and pets
- Strong communication skills; fluent English required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable personal transportation preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reference checks: strong, verifiable professional references required and will be contacted
- Background check: employment contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background check
- Drug test: candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Non-smoking/vaping environment: no smoking or vaping (including e-cigarettes) during work hours or on the property
- Confidentiality: must be comfortable working in a private home and maintaining strict discretion at all times
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs (laundry baskets, supplies, small packages)
- Ability to climb stairs and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout the day
- Comfortable using household cleaning products and equipment (vacuum, mop, steamers, etc.) and following product safety instructions
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $45.00 per hour
- $500 per month (net) healthcare stipend toward the purchase of your own plan
- 10 days paid vacation
