Overview
Our repeat client in Miami, FL is seeking two experienced Housekeepers to join their established estate team. This is a long-term opportunity within a highly professional, well-structured household that values discretion, consistency, and teamwork. The right candidates will step into a supportive environment alongside seasoned private service professionals and play an integral role in maintaining the home at an exceptional standard.
This role is well suited for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and thrives in a flexible, dynamic setting. These two roles will take direction and guidance from the team’s Executive Housekeeper – you must be willing to listen to feedback and implement it.
Schedule
- Full-time role with 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Daily coverage window between 8:00am–7:00pm, including after-dinner support as needed
- Please note, the housekeeping team will shift their schedules accordingly to cover the full range of a day’s work hours. Example schedules might include 9am-5pm; 11am-7pm
- One weekend day required each week
- Additional weekend or fill-in coverage may be requested for full household support
- Typically two consecutive days off per week
- Flexibility is essential, as the schedule may shift based on household needs and travel
Role Expectations
- The household operates in a green, low-to-no-scent environment with no harsh chemicals
- Cleaning methods include water, vinegar, baking soda, and approved eco-friendly product lines
- Prior green-cleaning experience is strongly preferred
- Discretion is non-negotiable
- A “ninja-style” presence is essential: quiet, efficient, and minimally visible
- Excellent judgment around privacy and timing when entering private spaces
- Strong sense of teamwork and professionalism
- Clear, respectful communication with the housekeeping team and broader estate staff
Role Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping with exceptional attention to cleanliness, organization, and presentation
- Laundry care and organization of household areas
- Follow weekly and biweekly cleaning schedules and systems
- Maintain housekeeping records, schedules, and household logs
- Track dry cleaning and special garment care
- Adapt routines based on family movements and evolving needs
- Report repairs and maintenance issues promptly
- Order, stock, and organize approved household supplies
- Maintain principals’ inventories including toiletries, wardrobe support, and closets
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and travel preparation
- Partner closely with the Lead Housekeeper and Estate Manager to streamline operations
- Communicate with other teams regarding family preferences, requests, and feedback
- Conduct daily walk-throughs for operational readiness and safety
- Unpack and log incoming packages; coordinate returns and exchanges
- Run errands for household or team needs as requested
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large, luxury private households
- Calm, steady presence with strong emotional intelligence
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive and solutions-oriented; anticipates needs
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Consistently punctual and reliable
- Polished, professional communicator who works well in a team
- Comfortable with schedule flexibility and occasional evenings or weekends
- Strong working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Able to lift and carry up to approximately 35 lbs
Role Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper in private households and/or luxury hospitality
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Local to the Miami area
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing to use personal vehicle for work-related tasks if needed
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Excellent references required
- Must pass an extensive background investigation
- COVID vaccination/booster may be required based on household policy
Compensation & Benefits
- $45–$50 per hour, depending on experience
