Executive Housekeeper

Overview
A private family of four in Miami, Florida is hiring an Executive Housekeeper to join a well-established estate team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding and collaborating with other housekeepers, maintaining exceptionally high standards, and protecting the principals’ privacy at all times. The household offers a structured, professional environment with a genuinely collaborative team, and the schedule supports seven-day household coverage across the staff.
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed
- Daily coverage window: 8:00am–7:00pm, including after-dinner support as needed
- Please note, the housekeeping team will shift their schedules accordingly to cover the full range of a day’s work hours. Example schedules might include 9am-5pm; 11am-7pm
- One weekend day required each week
- Additional weekend and fill-in coverage as needed for full household coverage
- Typically two consecutive days off each week
- Flexibility is required; the daily schedule may shift based on household needs and travel

- Green, low-to-no-scent home: absolutely no harsh chemicals
- Cleaning approach includes methods/products like water, vinegar, baking soda, and approved eco-friendly lines
- Strong green-cleaning background is required
- Discretion is non-negotiable
- “Ninja style” presence: quiet and efficient service
- Excellent judgment around privacy – enter spaces only when appropriate/cleared
Core responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day housekeeping operations with the team
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and presentation across all areas
- Laundry and wardrobe care, including green laundry methods and fabric-appropriate handling
- Packing and unpacking support for travel, including:
- Creating and maintaining packing lists
- Maintain and follow structured checklists and routines (daily/weekly/biweekly)
- Track dry cleaning and maintain household organization systems as needed
- Conduct daily walk-throughs for operational readiness and safety awareness
- Report repairs/maintenance needs promptly
- Stock and organize approved supplies within the home (per household systems)
- Receive, unpack, and log incoming packages; coordinate returns/exchanges as needed
- Support errands as requested (including household and personal items, as appropriate)
- Communicate clearly with the Head of Household and other team members regarding:
Ideal candidate profile
- 5+ years of experience in large, busy, luxury private homes; luxury hospitality experience is a plus
- Proven ability to lead by example and work in sync with other housekeepers
- Calm, steady, low-drama presence; strong judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent organization and follow-through; proactive and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable with schedule flexibility and occasional nights/weekends as needed
- Strong written and verbal English
- Trustworthy, discreet, and professional; long-term intent
- Tech-comfortable (basic household tech/tools and tracking systems)
- Able to lift/carry up to ~35 lbs.
- Ideally based in the Miami, Florida area; will consider out of area candidates who exceed the listed requirements
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; willing to use personal vehicle for work-related tasks if needed
- Able to accept constructive feedback professionally
- Must provide impeccable references and pass an extensive background investigation
- COVID vaccination/booster requirement may apply depending on household policy
Compensation & benefits
