Weekend Housekeeper (Live-Out) — Ross, CA

Overview

Our returning client—an energetic, loving family with three young children—is seeking a warm, kid-friendly, hardworking Full-Time Housekeeper to join their household team. The ideal candidate is upbeat, discreet, self-directed, and flexible, with strong residential cleaning standards.

Schedule

  • Full-time, live-out
  • Saturday–Sunday | 10:30am–5:30 pm
  • Start: ASAP
  • Travel: None required

Responsibilities

  • Full-charge housekeeping for the entire home: daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and overall upkeep (kitchen, common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, exterior living areas)
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the interior of vehicles, and garage organization/cleanliness as needed
  • Family laundry: washing, folding, ironing/steaming as needed, closet organization
  • Simple family meal prep when the family’s chef is not available
  • Put away groceries and deliveries; maintain tidy pantry/fridge systems
  • Occasional errands: groceries, dry cleaning, post office, etc.
  • Home organization projects: closets, children’s clothing, seasonal items/holiday décor set-up and take-down support

Qualifications

  • Recent, long-term experience as a professional housekeeper in private homes (experience with families/children strongly preferred)
  • High standards for cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills; fluent English required
  • Proactive/self-starter: able to prioritize, anticipate needs, and manage time well
  • Works well alongside other household staff and respects household routines
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (reliable transportation preferred)
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain certification
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Required Screening & Workplace Standards

  • Paid working trial: finalists will complete a paid working trial at the agreed hourly rate (details scheduled in advance)
  • Reference checks: strong, verifiable references required (professional references will be contacted)
  • Background check: employment is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Non-smoking environment: no smoking or vaping (including e-cigarettes) during work hours or on the property
  • Confidentiality: must be comfortable working in a private home and maintaining strict discretion at all times

Food Allergy Note

  • Due to an allergy, the household is gluten-free. The housekeeper must be comfortable following this restriction while working in the home (including avoiding bringing gluten-containing foods into the household during work hours, if requested).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs (laundry baskets, supplies, small packages)
  • Ability to climb stairs and perform repetitive cleaning motions
  • Comfortable using cleaning products and equipment (vacuum, mop, steamers, etc.); ability to follow product safety instructions

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60+/hour (DOE)
