Salary Range: $53-$65+ per hour ($110,000 – $135,000 annual)

POSITION OVERVIEW
DM Estate Staffing is pleased to present a unique Executive Housekeeper opportunity at a beautifully maintained weekend residence in Belvedere, CA — the second home of a private family of four.
Because the property is used primarily on weekends, this role operates on a Thursday through Monday schedule and calls for someone who thrives working with a high degree of autonomy. The Executive Housekeeper will be the lead — and often sole — household professional on-site during the week, with supplemental support from the housekeeping team at the family's primary San Francisco residence for two to three days per week.
The House Manager, based at the primary residence in San Francisco, provides direction and oversight remotely and during coordinated visits. Strong communication, the ability to self-manage, and a genuine commitment to maintaining high-level standards without daily supervision are essential.
This is also a role with a future. Over the coming years, the Belvedere property is set to undergo updates and modifications, and the household team is expected to grow with it. The Executive Housekeeper who joins now will have the opportunity to help shape the standards, systems, and culture of an evolving estate.
The family has a dog, and all candidates must be comfortable in a pet-friendly environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrival Preparation
- Ensure the home is fully stocked, refreshed, and guest-ready ahead of every family arrival. Anticipate the family's habits and preferences — from coffee and tea to specific room arrangements — so their weekend begins seamlessly.
The Estate Reset
- Following each departure, execute a thorough and methodical reset of the entire home: all rooms returned to their designated order, items placed precisely, surfaces pristine, and the property fully prepared for the next visit.
Wardrobe & Garment Management
- Serve as the primary steward of the family's wardrobe at this residence. This includes expert laundering, hand-washing, steaming, and pressing of fine garments; thoughtful wardrobe organization and daily tidiness; and maintaining a wardrobe inventory that stays accurate and current.
Valet & Dry Cleaning Coordination
- Manage the full valet cycle — items logged, sent for dry cleaning, tracked, and returned to the wardrobe correctly and without delay.
Inventory & Household Stocking
- Monitor and replenish all household stock: cleaning supplies, toiletries, pantry staples, and linens. Maintain organized, current inventory records in shared spreadsheets and household documentation.
Standards & Systems Documentation
- Take an active role in building and maintaining the household operations manual — including detailed work lists, wardrobe inventories, linen tracking, and household checklists. This is a documentation-forward household, and your investment in keeping those systems current is both expected and valued.
Property Oversight & Reporting
- Serve as the House Manager's trusted eyes on the property between visits. Identify and report maintenance, aesthetic, or mechanical concerns promptly so issues are resolved before the family arrives.
Team Coordination

- Respond to household emails and assist with light administrative tasks as directed.
- Provide occasional evening support during private events.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Strong organizational and documentation skills; comfortable with spreadsheets, inventory systems, and email correspondence.

- Non-smoker / non-vaper; no strong fragrances or perfumes while on duty.
