Private Chef – Full-Time
Plano, Texas (with travel to Cabo, Mexico and Park City, Utah)
Open to candidates nationwide!
A UHNW family based in Plano, Texas is seeking a highly skilled, health-focused Private Chef to join their household in a full-time, permanent role. The family primarily resides in Texas and splits time in Cabo, Mexico, with occasional travel to Park City, Utah. The chef must be willing and able to travel with the family and adapt to evolving schedules.
This is a Tuesday–Saturday position (five days per week). Lunch and dinner are required daily, with breakfast service included on Saturdays. The household includes two adults and two younger children full-time, with two teenagers on a week-on/week-off schedule.
The family follows a very clean, nutrient-dense diet — no seed oils, minimal processed ingredients, and a strong emphasis on high-quality proteins and vegetables. Weekday meals are often intentionally simple and repetitive (for example, chicken thighs, rice, and vegetables), while Saturday dinners allow for greater creativity. The children may require more traditional meals, and the chef should be comfortable preparing separate dishes when appropriate.
The chef will have full responsibility for the kitchen, including shopping, pantry management, organization, and maintaining a spotless workspace at all times. This is an autonomous role requiring strong time management and the ability to operate independently. A Sunday chef provides coverage on the primary chef’s days off. In cases of extended travel with the family, additional days worked may be balanced with compensatory time off.
The ideal candidate has experience in high-end or Michelin-level kitchens, along with prior private household experience and a strong understanding of discretion and household etiquette. The chef must read the room well — maintaining warmth and professionalism while respecting boundaries, particularly during family time or business conversations.
Candidates may be asked to complete a paid trial, including preparation of a red sauce, one Italian dish, and one Mexican dish. The family is respectful and values not only culinary excellence but also humility, kindness, and adaptability.
