Our client is searching for two skilled Housekeepers to join their interior service team. A wonderful returning client, this private residence is known for its warm, well-run environment and exceptional care for staff. POSITION DETAILS

Employment Type:  Full-Time | W-2

Start Date:  As Soon As Possible

Schedule:  Monday–Friday, 8:30/9:00 AM–5:00 PM; occasional nights/weekends as needed

Hours:  Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Location:  Pacific Heights, San Francisco — street parking

 

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the House Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and day-to-day upkeep of a large private residence. This role requires a high standard of care, strong attention to detail, and a professional, proactive approach to household management.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Housekeeping & Cleaning

  • Perform thorough daily housekeeping throughout the residence, including dusting, vacuuming, bathroom care, and general floor maintenance
  • Conduct regular deep cleaning on a rotating schedule
  • Care for furniture, accessories, fixtures, metalwork, and upholstery
  • Maintain houseplants and indoor greenery
  • Manage recycling, trash, and garbage removal

 

Laundry & Linen Care

  • Launder, iron, fold, sort, and distribute household and personal items, including fine linens and specialty fabrics
  • Coordinate dry cleaning and manage care for items requiring special treatment
  • Make and turn down beds with fresh, clean linens as needed

 

 

Household Organization & Inventory

  • Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and household stock
  • Assist in keeping a comprehensive household inventory and contribute to maintenance request logs
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual task lists

 

Additional Duties

  • Shop for personal items, household supplies, and occasional groceries as needed
  • Assist with event and party preparation and support at the residence
  • Help with move preparation, packing, and unpacking as required
  • Run errands and perform other related duties as requested

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven experience working in large, multi-staffed private homes
  • Familiarity with smart home systems and modern household appliances
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Punctual, organized, reliable, and proactive — a true self-starter
  • Personable and collaborative, with the ability to work well alongside various household staff and principals
  • Flexibility, integrity, and a calm, creative approach to problem-solving
  • Consistently positive attitude and a genuine care for the home and those in it

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform full-time, active physical work throughout the residence
  • Capable of reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying typical household items (e.g., full laundry baskets)
  • Comfortable using stairways, household ladders, and step stools
  • Proficiency with laundry equipment, cleaning appliances, and standard household machines
  • Basic computer and phone skills for communication and recordkeeping
  • Ability to provide limited on-call availability during non-business hours as needed

 

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly Rate:  $50.00–$55.00 per hour (DOE)

Medical, Dental & Vision:  Full coverage for employee and all dependents
