A busy family of professional adults — and a beloved family dog — across multiple households is seeking a dedicated, polished housekeeping professional to join their team. The Assistant Head Housekeeper supports the Head Housekeeper in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and seamless daily operation of a private estate. This role is integral to upholding consistently high standards of presentation across all household spaces, while contributing to team coordination, inventory management, logistics support, and staff development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Package & Logistics Support
- Monitor incoming deliveries and communicate arrivals to the Head Housekeeper or management team promptly via WhatsApp
- Coordinate the organized distribution of packages throughout the property
- Facilitate return processes, including packaging, documentation, and proper filing of related materials
- Maintain accurate records of packing slips and return correspondence
Dry Cleaning Coordination
- Track all dry cleaning items and associated documentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Photograph garments prior to dispatch, as required, and communicate via WhatsApp
- Receive and carefully organize returned garments, ensuring correct placement and care
- Promptly report any stains, damage, or discrepancies to the Head Housekeeper
Lunch & Refreshment Support
- Assist with the setup and presentation of lunches and refreshments for household staff and outdoor teams
- Maintain proper stocking and organization of coolers, beverages, and supplies throughout the day
- Oversee cleanup of dining and service areas, including waste disposal
- Report vendor cleanliness concerns to the appropriate team member when applicable
Trash & Utility Enclosure Maintenance
- Monitor household waste bins and coordinate preparation in advance of scheduled pickups
- Ensure proper bin placement, timely retrieval, and correct return to designated areas
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all garbage and utility spaces
- Report sanitation concerns or maintenance issues as they arise
Garage & Storage Organization
- Support the organization and upkeep of housekeeping storage areas, including the garage, gym, and utility spaces
- Ensure cleaning supplies and tools are properly maintained, labeled, and readily accessible
- Assist with periodic reorganization initiatives as directed
Inventory Management
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels across the following categories:Cleaning supplies and housekeeping equipment
- Household and pet essentials
- Staff snacks and beverages
- Proactively flag low-stock items and support reordering processes in a timely manner
Team Support & Staff Development
- Support the Head Housekeeper in upholding consistent household standards across the team
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new housekeeping staff, including demonstration of systems, tools, and expectations
- Help ensure uniformity in service quality, organization, and attention to detail
- Relay performance observations, training needs, or areas for improvement to the Head Housekeeper
- Model professionalism, efficiency, and a collaborative team spirit at all times
Maintenance Reporting
- Report maintenance issues through the appropriate internal communication channels in a timely manner
- Assist in documenting and escalating housekeeping-related maintenance concerns to the relevant team members
Deep Cleaning & Preventive Upkeep
- Assist in planning and executing scheduled deep-cleaning projects, including:
- Closets and storage drawers
- Refrigerators and kitchen appliances
- Windows, vents, and outdoor surfaces
- Support the upkeep and proper storage of outdoor furniture and covers
Guest Readiness
- Assist in preparing all areas of the home for guest arrivals and departures
- Support the completion of pre-arrival and post-departure checklists with care and thoroughness
- Ensure all guest spaces are impeccably clean, organized, and fully appointed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in a luxury residential household or comparable high-standard environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and an unwavering eye for detail
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a team
- Experience within a team-based household structure
- Adaptability to accommodate the family's evolving preferences and schedule
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and respect for personal privacy
- Comfort working alongside dogs and in a family-oriented environment
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be willing to undergo a thorough background investigation as a condition of employment
- Must be able to provide excellent professional references upon request
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely
- Comfort standing, walking, and navigating stairs for extended periods throughout the workday
- Capacity to safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate standard housekeeping equipment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Rate: $55.00 – $60.00
