Private Chef

Private Chef San Francisco Peninsula | Full-Time

A private family on the San Francisco Peninsula is seeking an experienced, health-conscious Private Chef to join their household team. This is a collaborative role working within a professional and welcoming environment, with a strong emphasis on organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Cook wholesome, health-forward vegetarian meals
• Manage menu planning and meal preparation tailored to specific dietary needs
• Source ingredients from local farmers' markets and specialty grocers
• Apply knowledge of gluten-free cuisine, fermentation, and preservation techniques
• Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized kitchen
• Collaborate with household staff and engage warmly with the family

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in restaurants and/or private households
• Expertise in vegetarian and gluten-free cooking is required.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous kitchen hygiene standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to receive feedback gracefully
• Must be local to the San Francisco Peninsula area
• Flexibility to work weekends and travel as needed

• $165,000+ DOE

Hours

• Full-time; schedule varies based on family needs, but typically a five day workweek
• Additional hours for shopping and special events as needed
