Overview

Our returning client, a large and active multi-generational family based in Marin County, is looking for an early-career Personal Assistant to join their household team. This is a newly created role – and the right person will be energetic, highly reliable, and someone who genuinely enjoys being the reason things run smoothly.

The role is fluid by design. Some days you'll be out in Marin handling logistics and on-the-ground errands; others you'll be working from home providing remote administrative support to the family and team. There's a standing Monday morning check-in, but beyond that, no two days look the same. The household is multi-generational – grandparents, siblings, and children are regularly present across several homes in close proximity – and the team is collaborative, close-knit, and moves at a lively pace.

The ideal candidate brings strong administrative instincts and a sharp eye for detail – positive, no-ego, and someone who takes real satisfaction in supporting others, stays composed when priorities shift, and can be trusted to manage the details that matter most.

What You'll Do

Daily Execution

  • Run errands – shopping, returns, pickups, and deliveries across multiple properties
  • Manage and move vehicles as needed
  • Assist with calendaring, scheduling, and basic travel logistics
  • Handle day-to-day requests from the principals with speed and good judgment
  • Book dinner reservations, appointments, and personal arrangements

Property & Vendor Support

  • Greet and coordinate vendor access across multiple homes
  • Serve as the in-person point of contact when senior staff are unavailable
  • Help monitor day-to-day property needs and flag anything that requires follow-up
  • Support property management tasks as directed

Team & Administrative Support

  • Work closely with a larger household team
  • Assist with event logistics as needed
  • Take direction and execute quickly and reliably
  • Assist with basic pet care, including a friendly family dog

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in any field demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and follow-through
  • Demonstrated longevity in prior roles – the family values commitment and consistency
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record – frequent driving is a core part of this role
  • Willing and able to travel locally in California
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ideally within a short commute to Marin County; local candidates will only be considered
  • Must be willing to undergo a detailed background check
  • Must be able to provide strong employment references

Compensation

  • $50+ per hour, depending on experience
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, PTO/sick time/holiday, travel stipend
  • Opportunity for growth and increased responsibility over time
