Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet full-time Housekeeper to maintain the smooth operation of a luxury Tribeca residence. This role requires a proactive approach, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate household needs.

The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a pristine, welcoming environment for the family while respecting their privacy and routines. This position is supported by a second full-time Housekeeper based in Greenwich, CT, with responsibilities and occasional shared coverage to ensure smooth daily operations and a balanced workload across the household.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

Daily Household Operations:

  • Begin each shift with a walk-through of the home to assess priorities and plan tasks
  • Maintain entryway cleanliness and organization: shoes, jackets, bags, and leashes stored properly
  • Inspect and tidy powder rooms: refill soaps, hand towels, and paper products
  • Kitchen care: collect dirty dishes, load and run dishwasher, wipe tables, benches, and chairs, clean stove and island, check napkins, salt and pepper, and kitchen appliances (microwave, air fryer, rice cooker)
  • Trash management: check bins, wipe down containers, change bags, and dispose of trash in service elevator room; monitor packages when transporting trash
  • Refill cleaning supplies, check spray bottles, maintain coffee machine, and attend to pets' bowls
  • Maintain pantry and fridge organization: check for spoiled items, label homemade food, restock beverages, ensure all labels face forward

Master Suite & Personal Areas:

  • Make beds, tidy side tables, straighten slippers and sofa pillows, put shades up
  • Maintain master bathroom cleanliness: sink, shower, bathtub, toilet, glass, and handles; replace towels; ensure personal care products are organized and stocked
  • Closet organization: ensure robes, hats, sunglasses, shoes, and garments are tidy and organized, with shoes and clothes aligned and labeled correctly
  • Office and nooks: empty trash, organize supplies, tidy desk and printer area, maintain cigar supplies if applicable

Laundry & Linen Management:

  • Collect, sort, and manage personal, family, and children's laundry throughout the day
  • Operate washers, dryers, and ironing equipment according to proper care instructions
  • Fold and put away clean laundry in the appropriate closets
  • Monitor towels, linens, and other household textiles; replace and restock as needed
  • Maintain a tidy linen closet and ensure laundry supplies are organized and stocked

Children's Rooms & Bathrooms:

  • Make beds, pick up floor items, organize closets and drawers, clean minor messes or spills, empty trash
  • Clean and maintain children's bathrooms: wipe down surfaces, check cupboards, and clean toilets

Common Areas & Miscellaneous:

  • Detailed cleaning of common areas: dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining flower arrangements
  • Ironing, folding, and putting away laundry
  • Assist with family tasks, such as walking pets, dinner setup, serving, and cleanup
  • Maintain detailed notes of daily tasks, dry cleaning logs, shopping needs, and other household communications for continuity

End-of-Day Duties:

  • Final check of powder rooms, trash, laundry, closets, and general tidiness
  • Prepare cleaning caddy for the following day
  • Communicate updates or concerns to the family or household manager

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Private Housekeeper in a luxury residential setting
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate household needs
  • Comfortable working alongside a second housekeeper in a shared-responsibility, team-based environment
  • Discreet and respectful of the family's privacy and routines
  • Comfortable around pets
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to maintain continuity with the household team
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and detail-driven
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

Compensation and Benefits

  • $45-$50 per hour | DOE
  • Full benefits including:
    • Health, dental and vision – employee only
    • 10 days of paid vacation
