Location: San Carlos, CA

Compensation: $45–$50/hour

Schedule: 20 hours per week - flexible on schedule but ideally Monday-Friday, four hours per day

About the Family

A professional family in San Carlos, CA is seeking a proactive and dependable temporary Family Assistant to support daily household operations from mid-August to mid-September. The principals work from home and have one teenage son. A weekly cleaning service is already in place; this role focuses on organization, running errands, assisting with family matters, and keeping the home running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• General household tidying: countertops, vacuuming, cleaning out sink from dishes, unloading the dishwasher, and folding  laundry, switching bedding
• Organization projects: pantry, closets, cabinets,and occasionally the garage
• Accept and manage deliveries/mail; sign for packages
• Flower arranging – open boxes, trim, and place in vases
• Pet care: refresh water bowls, feeding a cat, occasional dog walking (1 dog, 1 cat in home), feeding our dog
• Rare - grocery and household supply runs
• Errands and returns as needed(to UPS. Fedex, DHL)
• Stay present for vendor visits (e.g., window cleaners)
• Housekeeping tasks such as emptying trash bins, making beds, and taking out the trash
• Vacuuming and wet-mopping every other day, as needed
• Maintain indoor plants
  
  

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of experience supporting busy professionals or executives in home settings as an Executive Housekeeper or Family Assistant 
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy
• Warm, friendly, and comfortable engaging with teens and pets
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Holds a valid driver’s license and has a clean driving record
• Comfortable with errands and flexible daily priorities
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (e.g., groceries, packages)
• Comfortable with light physical activity, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Able to drive safely and manage local errands confidently
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Non-smoker and non-vaper
• Must pass a comprehensive background check
• Strong verifiable references from previous employers
• Legally authorized to work in the US
  
• Within a commutable distance to San Carlos, CA
