Overview

HOUSEKEEPER | FAMILY ASSISTANT — Full-Time | Noe Valley, CA

Our client in Noe Valley is looking for a full-time Housekeeper | Family Assistant to bring a more elevated, white-glove level of care to their home. They're seeking someone with real polish and attentiveness, someone who understands that the difference is in the details: fresh flowers, cut fruit ready to go, a warm kettle, a home that consistently feels cared for rather than just clean. This role is focused on the ongoing, daily rhythm of the home rather than heavy periodic cleaning.

We're looking for someone highly attentive to detail, warm but not chatty, someone who reads a room well and understands that quiet, thoughtful competence is what makes a home feel truly cared for. Discretion, reliability, and a calm, steady presence are essential. The hired Housekeeper | Family Assistant will report to the Personal Assistant and work collaboratively.

Schedule

Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday, five days a week. Some flexibility is expected to accommodate shifts in the family's schedule, along with occasional weekend availability when the family is hosting or has events.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Home Care

  • Provide daily housekeeping, keeping the home consistently tidy, organized, and welcoming
  • Manage full-cycle laundry
  • Attend to small, thoughtful details that elevate the home's daily feel: cutting and preparing fresh fruit, maintaining fresh flowers, having the kettle warm and ready, and similar touches
  • Receive and appropriately place incoming packages and deliveries
  • Support packing and unpacking as needed

Family & Household Support

  • Meet with vendors on-site and help translate or relay information when the client’s Personal Assistant is unavailable
  • Run errands as requested
  • Assist with household parties, events, and guest support as needed
  • Provide light family assistant support as needed, helping the household run smoothly day to day
  • Maintain a calm, low-key, unobtrusive presence in the home
  • Be open to light travel requests to the client’s other Bay Area properties if requested and as their lives evolve

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Housekeeper, Family Assistant, or in a similar private household role
  • Comfortable and experienced providing white-glove level home care and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with vendors when needed
  • Comfortable around young children
  • Warm, low-key, and discreet, not overly talkative or intrusive
  • Flexible and adaptable to a household with a busy, evolving schedule
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing to undergo a background check and provide strong professional references

Compensation

  • $55+ per hour, non-exempt, with flexibility depending on experience
  • Benefits including:
    • 100% paid healthcare for the employee (no dependents)
    • 10 paid vacation days
    • 5 paid sick days
    • Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
    • Discretionary bonus
    • Access to a retirement plan
    • Mileage reimbursement (not for commute)
