Full-Time Private Chef 
Atherton, CA

A warm, health-conscious family is looking for a full-time Private Chef to take ownership of daily meals with creativity, freshness, and real attention to detail. The family values healthy, vegetable-forward cooking and a genuine appreciation for good food without pretension, think– a fun sushi night alongside comforting, produce-driven meals. The ideal candidate works with a mindful, low-key presence in the home, is warm and easygoing with children in the household, and brings a genuine "yes, can-do" attitude along with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dinner Sunday-Thursday, plus some lunches  and easy grab-and-go breakfast items and snacks
• Handle full grocery shopping for all family meals
• Accommodate household dietary preferences with ease and creativity
• Prepare a simplified, age-appropriate version of family meals for children
• Bring creativity and variety to weekly menus, exploring a range of cuisines
• Occasionally support dinner parties and larger seasonal events
• Submit menus in advance for review
• Keep kitchen staples stocked and the kitchen clean and organized at all times

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Private Chef for a family; high-end restaurant experience is a plus
• Strong, creative approach to healthy, vegetable-forward cooking
• Comfortable managing grocery shopping and kitchen organization independently
• Warm, low-key, and easy to have as part of the household rhythm
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Local to the Bay Area
• Willing to undergo a background check and provide strong professional references

Compensation

• $65-$90 per hour | DOE
  • 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Full benefits including:
  • Healthcare stipend
  • 15 PTO days (majority to be taken during family travel)
  • Paid holidays to be discussed with client
